My Passion..........

After one of the many dance recitals.
Yeah we are officially silly, after another recital!
Writing about interracial marriage and family is my passion because I'm passionate about my marriage and family!

~I'm passionate about all the things we have gone through in a mixed race household.
~I'm passionate about helping other's that feel they are alone in this journey, and letting them know they are not!
~I'm passionate about changing perceptions about mixed race marriages and showing everyone that they are just marriages with a "twist."
~I'm passionate about shaping the future for my child and teaching her to be proud of all of who she is!
~I'm passionate about showing other mixed race parents they too can do the same.
~I'm passionate about hearing your stories and helping you through difficult situations.
~I'm passionate about getting to know you and your families so we can all share in this wonderful experience of interracial love!
~I'm passionate about laughter and hearing the funny stories too!
~I'm passionate about not taking ourselves so seriously each and every day.
~I'm passionate about standing up to racism.
~I'm passionate about speaking out and speaking up!
~I'm passionate about teaching tolerance and forgiveness.
~AND....I'm passionate about always being here for you!

I am BIG fan of {The Many Shades Of Love} and when ever I meet new interracial couples, I Always tell them about Loving Day.Org and how to find your blog on the net. Your blog is interesting and I do agree with what I read on T.N.Family, you are a welcome addition to that site.

You are blessed by the Holy Spirit of God with a gift to write like this and keep it interesting about Interracial/Multiracial familes and Bi-Racial kids.

Amy, where were you in the 90's decade from 90-99? You could have been a paid writer or story editor for INTERRACE MAGAZINE, founded by Candy Mills-Gosz & husband Gabe Gosz. Perhaps, you have heard of it. It was in biz for 10 years and her other magazine
BI-RACIAL CHILD was around for about 8 years.

Keep up the good work and keep writing more things from your Blog.

Peace & Blessings,
Nay K.

You are soooo sweet to talk about my writing like you do! I thank you for that! I am so passionate about it so I really appreciate the kind words...it means a lot. I was in SD in the 90's and Jamie and I met in '92. It would have been fun to write for the mag you referred to! Thank you as always for reading and for passing the word about all of our love!

Blessings right back at you..Amy

Amy: I always have a hassle remembering my Google log on & p.w to get my comments on your blog site and I do not have the darn patience to try 25 times, so I am taking your advice and signing my name under anonymous, but with my name because I am proud to write my comments on your blog and I want to share them with your other loyal fans too.

I am visiting my 80 year old widowed uncle in Santa Monica. He lives 19 blocks from the beach, which is almost a beach house. Anyhoo, I was on my new laptop computer on line and went to your blog and just read your "My Passion list". You inspired me to write my own passion list here that I would like to share with you, Heather, Jenny & Brian and Vince & Samantha. I tried to add this on your blog but in case it doesn't appear, here it is below. Oh, before I forget, I want to share with you both something about the once again 1 drop black blood rule. Earlier today, I was in the Mercedes Benz dealer in Santa Monica discussing how much would I get from the dealer from the Benz dealership. I had spoken with the salesman a few times, who admits that his mother is a Cuban Latina and his father is a Black Jamaican. He will sell me my new 2011 Benz in the middle of next year by the grace and blessings of God. Anyhoo, he stated that if he is just Black. I told him that he is bi-racial and he is leaving his mother out. He feels that if any person is half Black, they are just Black, so he and I got into a friendly disagreement debate over that issue, which I am passionate about. This is going to be a long hard battle to change minds in this country.

A Few Things I Strongly Support and I am Passionate About
By: Nay K. (Miami {Little Cuba} Florida)
1. I am passionate about my beliefs in God, The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ and giving thanks to God every morning that I wake up and every night before I go to bed and before every meal because no one knows when their last day on the planet is.
2. I am a strong believer in true love sees NO skin Color, because God does Not see skin color.
3. I am passionate and strong supporter of ALL Interracial dating, romances and mix marriages between all races because I truly believe that it helps to end racism in the world.
4. I am passionate about ending racism, bigotry and ending the 1 Drop of Black Blood rule from the minds of everyone in this country who refuses to openly accept that a Bi-racial person that is half African American/Black is just half (NOT whole) Black and the Bi-racial person is half of two beautiful races, not just one because it takes two (a man/woman to make a child).
5. I am passionate about Ending the “B” word referring to all women and the “N” word regardless of joking between Blacks or in racist terms.
6. I am passionate and a strong supporter of ALL websites (lovingday.org, mixedchild.com, mixedfolks.com and great web blogs such as “the Many Shade of Love.blogspot.com”
7. I am passionate about writing scripts that ALWAYS have a racially mixed cast.
8. I am a strong support and very passionate about making more movies and television programs that depicts racially mixed cast, bi-racial people and interracial marriages that shows black men/White women/Black women/White men/Black men/Latin women/Latin men/Black women/Asian men/White women/White women/Asian men/Black men/Asian women/Asian men/Black women/Armenian women/Black men and all other races on the planet that are too long to mention.
9. I am passionate about telling every interracial couple that I meet about loving day .org and all sites that are the same topic.
10. I am very passionate and proudly support the Latin music of Salsa and Merengue because it was created with a mixture of my African heritage with the Cuban and Puerto Rican Latinos.
